Haystax Hub is a community interest company run by Sue, an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting young people with diverse needs. It will offer a wide range of inclusive educational, vocational, and well-being opportunities for young people. Each of these will be designed to meet the needs of the individuals involved and offer a meaningful experience. For some, this will be a one-off session that helps them connect with nature. For others, this may be a long-term program designed to teach them a set of vocational skills which will help them access meaningful employment when they leave education.
Based within our Haystax Inclusive Farm Experience Centre means the Hub will have access to a peaceful woodland, a pets’ corner area, paddocks of farm animals, a café, and a series of accessible lodges. These offer a host of opportunities for young people. From educational visits linked to the school curriculum on the farm, well-being days in the woodlands, creative indoor sessions in the hub building, and real-life training in the lodges and café.
